This week in Cuckoo Class

​We have been working very hard in Cuckoo Class this week and enjoying both our
Maths and English. In English we have been writing letters this term and this week
we wrote to the polar bear in the Dear Polar Story that we have read as part of our
United project. We used writing grids to help construct our sentences and decided
what present to send to the bear to cheer him up. Later in the week, we wrote on a
more serious theme as we have started to think about plastic pollution in our seas
and what we can do to reverse this. We have also continued to enjoy our Find out
Friday Maths session and this week we were investigating the number of vowels in
all of our first names. It took quite a long time to collect all our data so we will have to
carry on our investigation next week! We are enjoying using our new pattern blocks
to challenge our spatial awareness.
