I have been teaching now for over 18 years. I am especially delighted to be part of the learning journey of such wonderfully enthusiastic children! My specific responsibilities include coordinating Special Educational Needs across school and I also have a key role in Safeguarding.

I am delighted to be part of the wonderful team at St Mary’s School as the Early Years and Key Stage 1 Leader (yN,R,1 and 2) as well as leading Science and DT across the school. I completed my degree in Early Childhood Studies and my PGCE, specialising in Early Years, at the University of Warwick.
I am passionate about creative teaching and never fail to be amazed at what children can achieve. I am excited to be part of the learning journey of such wonderfully enthusiastic children. The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSLs) is the first point of contact for any member of the school staff or parent community who has a concern about the safety and well-being of a pupil.
We have 4 DSLs and they are: Mrs Woods – Headteacher; Principle Designated Safeguarding Lead Ms Bailey - Assistant Head/SENCo; Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead Mrs Di Giorno – Assistant Head; KS2 Lead; Assistant Designated Safeguarding Lead Miss Prud’homme - Assistant Head; EYFS and KS1 Lead; Assistant Designated Safeguarding Lead These members of staff undergo specific DSL training every 2 years in addition to other training related to safeguarding. |
