I have been teaching now for over 18 years. I am especially delighted to be part of the learning journey of such wonderfully enthusiastic children! My specific responsibilities include coordinating Special Educational Needs across school and I also have a key role in Safeguarding.
St Mary's is a fantastic community to be a part of. One of the most enjoyable and rewarding features of my job is getting to know our families and working together to support the learning and development of our pupils.
I am positive and passionate about my work, leading, inspiring and motivating others to give of their best. I love working in a school where the staff all work together to create stimulating and challenging learning environments to engage and motivate our children. I have responsibility for learning in Key Stage 2 (y3,4,5,and 6) as well as leading English across the school. I coordinate RE and I am the SIAMs lead for St Mary's.
It is a privilege to work in a fantastic primary school within the heart of a great community of adults and children alike.
Throughout my time at St Mary's, I have always been overwhelmed by the strong sense of community and the kindness and compassion of all of the children, staff, parents and wider school community. I love being part of a team that consistently puts the children at the heart and where a curriculum built on strong Christian values challenges and excites the children.
This year in addition to my role as assistant headteacher, I have the pleasure of supporting across years 4 and 5 and leading the development of mathematics and computing across the school.
