This week in lower key stage two, the children have been getting poetic in English! We started the week by learning about prepositions and wrote our own sentences to describe the position of things in pictures. Take a look at the work by Nikki, Leona and Emilie-Mae.
We then looked at the poem 'Noise' by Jessie Pope and used it to help us identify onomatopoeia in poetry. We then used it as inspiration and collected noises of our own that we enjoy hearing. We then collated all of these ideas and used them to create our own noise poems. Sit back and take yourself to a world of sound.
We have also been keeping our minds and bodies active through PE and CoJos.
All the children have been working hard on the spellings every Friday. Here is excellent work completed by George and a lovely photo of Lilly playing Boggle.

Victoria has completed her mood board ready to complete her art project. We have loved seeing lots of your completed mood board (look at last week's blog post for more) but we are keeping the finished work a secret until our Live Art Exhibition next Thursday 12th February 2021.

Finally, Amelia and her brother have been baking her famous delicious cookies again! Here are some photos and the recipe if you would like to have a try yourself.
