Sensational singers in Owls

This week, children from year 5 and 6 went to the Centre for Music in Oxford and performed 10 songs alongside other schools and a live rock band. Despite it being a really long day with lessons in the morning and rehearsals all afternoon, the children performed fantastically with both confidence and enthusiasm.

Thank you to all the friends and family that supported the event both by helping the children to learn the songs and by coming to watch on the nigh!

We have also continued reading stories from 1001 Arabian Nights including ‘The fisherman and the bottle’ and ‘Sinbad the sailor’. We have investigated the characters and the structure of the stories in preparation for helping us write a story for the 1002nd night.
