SCIB week in Owls

​This week has been our second SCiB (Safeguarding Children in Banbury) week of the year and the focus has been on being safe online. We started by revaluating our Early Warning Signs and creating a risk assessment flow chart with some clear strategies to use when we feel them and know we need to take action. We have also investigated risks linked with some popular apps.

In maths, we have focused on arithmetic with some of the children recapping formal written methods addition and multiplication. Some children have moved on to calculating with fractions and applying this to reasoning questions.
To honour a Shrove Tuesday tradition, we joined the whole school outside for the annual pancake races, organised superbly by the Y6 leadership team and the support of others.  There was some fantastic flipping of pancakes as we all raced up and down!  Look at the photos to see how much we enjoyed it!
