Patterns and Painting in Fledglings

We noticed that some of our paintings looked like Flags and decided to do a bit of research about countries and the different flags that represent them. David created his own coat of arms. Aidan, Franek and Munesu used a book of photographs that shows the age of people from all over the world. They carefully used the information in the book to pinpoint the respective country on the world map.

We continue to enjoy using the florist role play. We have extended our learning by making observational paintings of real flower, dissecting flowers to look at their different parts too  We loved exploring pastel colour and using them in our paintings too.

Transient are remains very popular and Franio enjoyed using our book to recreate some of the pictures.

We remain fascinated by nature and all the different patterns and textures we are discovering. Leticia studies a snail that she found and recreated it using the large parts. 

We have used books to find out more about our favourite animals and insects. After discovering snails Matilde and Orla investigated spiral patterns.

We have been representing our interests in stories and recording to support our games. Ajwa and Munesu recorded 'start' and 'finish' to help their friends with the obstacle course they have created.

Alex explored the 5 and 10's frames in the maths area. Uzair explored 2D and 3D shapes using the Magfromers.
