Owls and Kestrels are at it again!

What another fantastic week in Owls and Kestrels! 
We have began our story writing journey, inspired by the story The Great Wave, written by Veronique Massenot. Where will our writing journey take us? We can't wait to refine them and share our work with you when they are published and ready!

As scientists we have been learning the importance of the heart, its function, structure and its role when we exercise. Did you know that the heart has a vital role to pump both oxygenated blood and deoxygenated blood around the body. We also recognised what happened to our heart rate in response to exercise. Look at us trying to get our heart up!

In Maths this week, we have continued with translation and symmetry of coordinates. We are able to recognise given coordinates and identifying the new translated or symmetrical coordinates. 
We have began to  read analogue time and using our understanding of digital time to read timetables. During our number knowledge sessions we have been revisiting using arrays to guide us in recognising fact families and solving problems

As artists this week, using watercolours, we created our own interpretation of section of The Great Wave by Hokusai. Together, each piece forms one artwork. We cannot wait to see the outcome and share then with you!
