Kookaburras cook crumble!

It was like The Great British Bake Off in Kookaburra class as the children learnt how to rub in butter, flour and sugar to make the crumble topping for their fruit crumbles. They selected the fruit they wanted, after testing many different types, and then added the topping and put them in the oven to bake. Then the most important part… tasting and evaluating!   
   

​We have also started our new Book Study and are really enjoying the Meg and Mog stories by Helen Nicoll and Jan Pienkowski. We have discovered that Meg’s spells are always written inside a green zig zag, they rhyme and they nearly always go wrong! We also love the way the words become part of the illustration.
