Kingfisher All-Stars

For the second week in a row the Kingfishers have reached over 250 stars the jar. We have been learning some amazing behaviours that will help us with our learning as we progress towards year 2. We can now line up in alphabetical order independently; move from our carpet spaces to our table spaces without talking; settle down and listen really quickly and walk sensibly between our class and worship. As result we have once again enjoyed biscuits and busy time, extra play time and a little TV treat. Great work everyone!

In addition to this, we have been taking the register using the different languages that some of our Kingfishers speak at home; we have practised saying good morning/afternoon in Spanish, Romanian, Greek, Telegu, Malayalam, Arabic and more.

This week in English we have been working on writing our own version of our The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch, focusing on neat handwriting, capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. I'm really pleased to say that the Kingfishers have learned a lot since the start of the year as the pictures below will testify.
