Keeping safe in the country and the Battle of Britain

Paddington is enjoying life in the countryside where it is safe from all the air raids but he has not forgotten Aunt Lucy.
Meanwhile Aunt Lucy and her friend have been cheering on the spitfire pilots who were busy in the skies overhead during the summer of 1940.
The Battle of Britain lasted three months and kept Britain free from invasion. The pilots became known as ‘the few’ because there were not that many of them but the whole country owed them a great deal.
