It's all fun and games in Fledglings Class

After the success of Rummikubs last week, this week we have been exploring Chess. There was lots of talk about the shapes of the pieces and opportunities to use positional and directional language!

We have listened to lots of stories this week and responded to them through transient art opporttunities. We have enjoyed bring the photographer.

The children have been fascinated to see how the caterpillars changed from tiny caterpillars, to huge fat greedy caterpillars and now to chrysalises! We are waiting patiently to see if we have butterflies when we go back on Monday!

Inspired by out Catterpillars. Matilde made a transient art version of the Butterfly life cycle. Can you spot the egg on the leaf? The catterpillar, the chrysalis? the caterpillar and the butterfly?

Everything is coming together nicely in the garden too and we were really excited to find strawberries! They are turning red and we are hopeful that we will get to try some next week.
