It's all about the shape in Fledglings!

The children in Fledglings have been fascinated with shape this week. They have been using the tap-tap game to create shape pictures and the magnetic shapes to explore 2D into 3D shapes.

Summer used the 3D shapes to create her own town. Sofia and Dragos explored the best way to stack shapes to create a tower.

Ali and Zayan worked together to use shapes to create a dinosaur world with some really interesting features!

Ezel was focused at sorting the 2D shapes into groups. The even created his own tally chart so we knew how many of each shape we had!

The children have enjoyed investigating the signs of spring. Looking closely at the shape of flowers and plants to create observational drawings and transient art.

The children continue to be engaged in the doctors role play. Looking at the shape of letters, numbers and pictures as they expand their skills into optometry! 

We have been looking at shapes in our creative work too. Studying the shapes of faces, words, letters and characters.

Outside the children wanted to create their own camping experience. Creating  sleeping bags, tents, a camp fire and even marshmallows to toast!
