Invaders and Settlers in Kestrels and Wrens

Wow! What a fantastic start to the term. We loved immersing ourselves in our project. We began the week with learning about the life of Anglo-Saxons. Who were they? Where did they come from? Why did they come to England? We explored the life of Anglo-Saxon's in England and their beliefs. We then carried out an enquiry on the Sutton Hood discovery in Anglia. Whose grave was it? Well, we can tell you that!

On Tuesday, we delved into the life of the Vikings. We experienced what life was like to wear Viking armour during invasion and what a Viking burial would encounter. 

This week, Wrens started the term swimming. WOW! What fantastic swimmers we have already. Future Adam Peaty and Rebecca Adlington's here at St Mary's-we can sense it! 
Kestrels began their hockey lessons this term by developing the range of hitting skills.
