Fledglings make the most of the Great Outdoors

​We started the week with our ‘WOW’ event and took part in lots of outdoor learning activities with Kingfisher Class.
We painted with natural items – grass, berries, flowers and mud and enjoyed crushing what we had found and see colours we could make.
We cooked bread over a fire bowl to make our own toast. We talked about how to stay safe and closely observed the changes to the bread and to the burning wood.
We made clay dishes and used natural objects to make imprints. We also created a bug hotel, looking for natural objects that the bugs would like to live it. We planted flowers to attract the butterflies.
On Thursday we performed in the School Poetry Festival to celebrate world book day.
