Fashion Show in Fledglings

The children in Fledglings have worked hard on making their own clothes. Lots of opportunities for developing skills from across the areas of learning. Opportunities for maths - measuring and estimating length of materials. Physical Development - threading, using needles, sewing and manipulating the glue gun and the fabric pens. Expressive Arts and Design - designing and decorating their items of clothing. As well as Communication and Language, Personal Social and Emotional, Literacy…..

The children wanted to show off their items and we decided to have a fashion show. The children wrote an invitation to Mrs Woods and Ms Bailey to invite them to watch. We received a letter back accepting our invitation and the big event took place on Friday.

Everyone was so impressed by the work that had gone into our wonderful creations. The children showed confidence and flair as they took to the cat walk!
