Clever Kingfishers

What a wonderful week we've had!

We have been working really hard in Maths, reviewing numbers and number bonds from 1 - 20 and practising how we count back using a number track. The improvement was there to see.

As if that wasn't exciting enough, we had a visit from the firefighters from Banbury Fire Station. We had loads of fun learning about what its like to work as a firefighter, exploring the fire engine and trying on the safety gear. The best bit though was when they lets us play with their hoses.

Best of all though, Kingfishers have settled in to their new classroom and are managing the transition from continuous provision to sitting at tables a chairs beautifully. In fact, they've done so well that they earned over 250 stars in the jar since Tuesday - that means that, this week alone, they got an afternoon snack, extra busy time, outdoor play and spent some of Friday afternoon watching a couple of episodes of Bluey with a bowl of popcorn. I think we can all be very proud of them. ​
