A week in Kestrels and Owls

What have we been up to this week? Well, where do we start! 
We started off the week developing our jumping skills. Look at our fantastic jumping skills and our high knees. #jumpingintoagreatweek

As writers this week be have began to explore the features of persuasive writing in preparation for writing our our persuasive piece, encouraging a tourist to visit Japan.  We were amazed by the vocabulary we can magpie and used model texts to build up our own word bank to support us for our writing!

Owls have shone their artistic light this week. Exploring The Great Wave by Hokusai, we have use his work to inspire our own and explore different materials.  

How many cm in a m? We can help you with this calculation! As magnificent mathematicians we have been measuring and converting units of distance, mass and volume. We persevered through and really enjoyed using the trundle wheels to measure to distance of the playground before converting our measurement. 

Watch out Wimbledon, we're coming for you! Look at our tennis skills! We have been developing our forehand, backhand and 'getting ready' stance. Tennis balls went everywhere but we loved developing these skills!
