Fledglings Class love a challenge!

We have really been enjoying the nicer weather in Fledglings class this week. We have been outside making up our own games and setting ourselves challenges.  We thought about how we could move round the cable drums and planks without walking, you must agree we were very inventive. We thought up our own games throwing balls into a bucket that was floating on water. It was a bit tricky when the wind blew the bucket around but we didn’t give up! We have been looking for signs of spring, finding bugs and watering the daffodils. We started learning a new poem with The Poetry Basket called ‘Little Seed’.

Inside we continue to be interested in our painting area and have started to refine our skills adding detail and mixing more subtle colours. We are inspired by the postcards and books around us. We are really interested in Monet’s Garden and have represented the different versions.

We have combined our love of storytelling and sewing to begin making our own puppets for puppet shows. We made and sold our own tickets and performed in front of an audience.

Our reading Café is becoming really popular and we loving having so many parents and friends come and read with us.
