​This half term we are looking at the value of service. We will be thinking about those who serve us and those we serve. We will also be thinking about this statement "There is more happiness in giving than receiving” The words of Jesus recorded in Acts 20.35 - The Good News Bible.

Spring 2 2021-2022, School Christian Value: Compassion

​This half term we are looking at the value compassion. We will be thinking about how we can be a good neighbour and how we can show that we care. We will also look at how Jesus showed compassion in the bible by healing sick people and other bible stories which can teach us how to be compassionate towards other people.

Spring 1 2021-2022, School Christian Value: Wisdom

Wisdom is different from just being clever. Often wise people have lots of experience and can give good advice to help us make difficult decisions. Some people pray because they believe that God can help them to live their lives wisely. Talk together about:
• Making wise choices
• The consequences of our words and actions
• Learning wisdom from others – including children from parents and parents from children
​• Learning from our mistakes and becoming wiser through them

‘Do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.
  • We teach children the importance of fairness 
  • We expect children to be fair to one another 
  • We teach them about the evils of injustice; about racism and discrimination and how they have been overcome 
  • We inspire children with the stories of people like Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King who worked for justice We encourage the children to try and make the world a fairer place for everybody through supporting things like fair trade

Summer 2 2020-2021, School Christian Value:  Hope
The Christian Value of Hope is shown through biblical writings. Christian see their hope in God's promise "that love and goodness have, and will ultimately overcome all evil." The hope is manifested in the life, death and resurretion of Jesus Christ.
