We are a loving group of year 1 children. We love creating our own games and work well together role playing, being creative and using construction.
We enjoy being outside and love to swing on the slack lines and climb across the equipment.

In Kingfishers, we strive to make the right choice by demonstrating our school values. Our ‘stars in the ten frames’ rewards are decided by the children and may include treats such as extra playtime on the field, time on the bikes and scooters, a classroom disco or a tea party. |

I am delighted to be teaching Year 1 and feel privileged to be part of such a wonderful, welcoming community. I look forward to learning alongside the Kingfishers, nurturing their curiosity, and embarking on new adventures together as we grow throughout the year.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband and our two daughters, as well as our playful dog and cuddly cat. They keep life busy, joyful, and full of laughter, and I always enjoy bringing that same sense of warmth and enthusiasm into the classroom.

The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle is a simple, beautiful look at a seed’s journey through the seasons. It faces all sorts of obstacles, but keeps going—and eventually grows into something amazing. Quiet, hopeful, and perfect for talking about nature and perseverance. We will be reading the Tiny Seed during our story time sessions. I Will Not Ever Never Eat a Tomato by Lauren Child is a hilarious, relatable story about picky eating. Charlie uses a bit of imagination (and some very convincing “new” food names) to help Lola feel brave enough to try a bite—sweet, silly, and surprisingly reassuring. We will be exploring this fun and glorious book during our English lessons.
