Remote learning for when we can't be together

What an amazing week of remote learning!
It has been an absolute pleasure speaking to all of you this week and we have been overwhelmed by how you have all adapted to a different way of learning. It really showcased the wonderful community spirt of St Mary's C of E Primary School and you have all demonstrated our school Christian values.

We have loved hearing about and seeing the brilliant things you have been doing at home this week. There has been lots of great work produced from the remote learning including writing for different purposes, maths tasks and some of you have been shared the worship stories with your siblings. There have been lots of children baking delicious treats in the kitchen, some fantastic Lego constructions and even some sewing!  Children who are not isolating have enjoyed glorious autumn walks exploring the beautiful colours and  collecting leaves to create pictures with.

Lots of you have also been using Purple Mash to help with your learning linked to Online Safety as well as playing on the games and using the reading section. There have been some great responses in year 3 and 4 to an email about whether they should meet up with someone they don't know.

KS1 used Purple Mash to design their own posters! Mollie wants to encourage you to put litter in the bin and Dylan wants to remind you that plastic pollution can end up in the ocean and harm the animals.

In key stage 2, there have been lots of games and battles played on Times Tables Rockstars. You have been collecting lots of coins and getting much quicker so a huge well done! An extra special congratulations to these children who have worked especially hard this week and made the most progress:
Year 3 - Oliver K
Year 4 - Ethan
Year 5 - Zach
Year 6 - Stephanie

Unfortunately, we can't showcase all of the fabulous learning but here are a few pictures and videos that we would like to share with you. We hope you have a restful and well deserved week with your families and we look forward to seeing you back at school on Tuesday 3rd November.
