Christmas in Bluebirds

This week, we have been very busy. On Monday, we performed our Class Worship to parents, grandparents and friends with everyone enjoying our performance.   You can see the photos from this term’s RE project here (hyperlink to powerpoint) which we shared in the Worship. Both Miss Gascoigne and Mrs Thom were so proud of all of the children who had learnt their individual lines, learnt the poem, Keeping Christmas and the song Hey Ewe as well as their confident and loud performance in front of a packed hall.

On Tuesday, we enjoyed our Christmas lunch with our homemade Christmas hats and placemats. In the afternoon, we had great fun at our very own Y2 Christmas Party, playing Sleeping Reindeers, Musical reindeer bumps and Santa says! You might want to play these games at home over the holidays. We also discovered some magical footprints that belonged to Father Christmas! He came with a sack full of presents for us and we were so excited to see him.

Wednesday was another fun packed day with everyone dressed up, ready for our whole school performance in the Church in the afternoon.  We must have been a very funny sight walking through banbury with staff and children dressed as Nativity characters!! We all enjoyed singing our Christmas songs in Church with our family and friends watching us and helping us to say our goodbyes to Mr Tolmie.

It has been a fabulous term and we are looking forward to a new year, full of fun and learning in 2020!

The children have enjoyed some Christmas games on the Ipads too...have a look at home if you have time.
