Poetry CollectionHere is a collection of some of the children in Goldcrests and Skylarks reading their poems about the rivers.
They worked really hard to collect rich and varied vocabulary that described the journey of a river in different and exciting ways. All the children then published their poems and they look amazing! We are hoping to get them printed as a poetry book! |
St Mary's CE Primary School will be participating in the Street Tag Oxfordshire Schools Games Season 2!
Street Tag is a great way to get out of the house for your daily exercise. It turns streets and green spaces into a virtual playground, to increase families' outdoor experience in walking, running and cycling more to earn points and rewards. |
In Skylarks, we think about our learning behaviour and consider our choices carefully. We learn from our mistakes and support each other. We collect house points and stars when we demonstrate our school values and together we have chosen our 2021 -2022 star rewards:

Our teacher - Miss BullardI am so happy to be teaching year 3 this year and am very much looking forward to this year. I am a creative and energetic teacher. I am passionate about football and can not wait to start football club. My hobbies include running, fitness and cooking. I like to explore new places with some of my favourite places being Kefalonia, Rome and Bath. |
To support our learning in English, we will be reading extracts from Mary Poppins by P. L. Travers. Not only will we make comparisons between the stage show and the book but will will look at P. L. Travers' use of language - especially her setting descriptions and how she brings everything to life. Additionally, we will be reading articles from First News to help us understand how to write newspaper reports.
We will also be using a range of other fiction and non-fiction texts to support our learning. Are there any other books that you could recommend? |
