This week we have been practising for our school Harvest performance. We showed our 3 class stories which we wrote this term based on our story book, Handa's Surprise and performed a Harvest poem. We have also revisited some learning from this term and you can see us all singing our song about the 7 continents of the world. In number knowledge this week, we have practised our number bonds, which you can too at home using this website https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button . Click on number bonds to find different levels to play. There is no homework over half term. We hope everyone has a lovely break and look forward to seeing you all soon.

This week, we have learnt about Binary Trees in Computing, creating our own physically one in the classroom using our knowledge about materials from Science. We also had an active PE session, teaching us different throwing and catching games. Over this week, we have been learning how to sort questions in Computing using a simple branching database. We have also been writing our own non fiction leaflet linked to our Science learning about materials. A few photos of our English / Outdoor Learning lesson this week, where we re-enacted our own version of the class story, Handa's Surprise. We have already begun to write our own story about the cheeky members of Bluebird class who steal the vegetables. Come in and see how our stories progress over the next few weeks and to see photos of the rest of the class caught sneaking the food away! |
