​Swifts have officially powered up!

Our STEM Day in Year 5 was focused on solar energy!

The whole class became a giant human solar panel, acting out the incredible physics of how photons pass their energy to electrons to create electricity. We proceeded to put on our researcher and engineer hats to explore the pros and cons of solar electricity, then applied the findings by designing a solar-powered product to solve a real-world problem, generating many brilliant and sustainable ideas!
