Welcome to Puffins Class

Welcome to our page! We are the Proud Puffins, a class full of curious minds, kind hearts, and big personalities. We are a friendly, enthusiastic, and hardworking group, and we each bring our own unique talents and ideas to our classroom, making our class a wonderful place to learn and grow.

As a class, we love being creative, sharing our ideas, and discovering new things. We enjoy working together, challenging ourselves, and celebrating each other’s successes. Whether we are learning in the classroom, getting active, creating something wonderful, or exploring the world around us, we always try our best and support one another along the way.

We are proud to be part of our school community and aim to show kindness, respect, courage, and resilience in everything we do. We are excited for all the wonderful learning, adventures, and opportunities that this year will bring, and we can’t wait to share our journey with you!

Our Class Teacher – Mrs Jayasiriwardena

I am so excited to be teaching you this year, and I can’t wait to spend the year learning, laughing, and having fun together. Our classroom will be a welcoming and happy place where you are encouraged to ask questions, try new things, and always do your best.

Throughout the year, we will explore interesting topics, read great stories, solve tricky problems, and celebrate all the progress you make along the way. I am really looking forward to an amazing year with you and sharing lots of exciting moments together.

Our Class book - The Girl Who Stole an Elephant

This term, our class story takes us on an exciting adventure filled with friendship, courage and determination.

The Girl Who Stole an Elephant by Nizrana Farook transports us to the lush jungles of Sri Lanka, where young Chaya finds herself caught up in an unexpected adventure after stealing an elephant from a royal palace. Chaya must use her courage, quick thinking and determination as she and her friends journey through the jungle, trying to escape those who are chasing them. We can’t wait to discover more about Chaya, her friends and their unforgettable adventure!
